Letter to President

Ilocos sur national high school
Gomez st., vigan city

Dear Mr. President,

I would like to express my deepest thoughts with despair. Our country and the government we build is degrading. Losses each year is not thousands nor millions, but billions. What are these you ask Mr. President? First is the money they steal from rags, lives of innocent people, position, minds and more than I think of.
Where are the answers you owe sir? We wander each as we breathe carbon slash oxygen. As lights flicker on the streets, hope is 50 percent blurring. Feelings conflict, thoughts erasing and minds, brainwashed. How could this ever happen? If money is the answer sir, this love is endless, infinite to be exact. The politics, blinded by paper- money.
Let us not look at the branches nor the trunk, look at the roots. We are not sure what the future holds. Our minds’ chopped and cooked by illicit. Empty threats lurk at the night. Fear follows like shadows. What have we done to make these seeds bloom rottenly?
We are sorry by sorrow. The up-coming generations will know the ‘sugar coated’ side of the story, instead of the truth. By reckless imprudence, lies the shallow seas. Stormed by catastrophe. Fed by little. And how about the education? They set standards so low, in order no one can claim justice.
Broken individuals who lost the fight. Fabricated evidences shown in court. Grieves the thief, liar, and unfair treatments As the file state, ‘guilty.’ Is this a widespread happening? My lord, such pollution, both mind and environment.
Above all, I seek justice who deserves it. Please serve with equality, equity, honesty and love. As the Filipino citizens face the cruel destiny. Heal us with prayers and fairness. As the youth, water us with your greatness. Reign like a government should govern.
I apologize if ever I said was irrelevant or rued, for I am naïve.
Thank you Mr. president for reading my thoughts in mind. Now I can sleep more soundly. God bless!

                                                                                                                            Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                                            Izabelle Manalang
